Pilotgroove Pictures is set to make it’s 2nd (and 3rd) appearance(s) in the 48 Hour Film Project and because 48 hours of writing, shooting and sleep deprivation isn’t enough, this year we’re going to do it twice!  We’ll be on set in and around Brooklyn, June 4-6 for the New York festival (screening date TBA). Then the following weekend, June 11-13, we’ll be shooting a second film in New Hampshire. That film will screen at Cinemagic in Hooksett, NH on Tuesday, June 15.

The 48 Hour Film Project tasks filmmakers with writing, shooting and editing a short film in just 48 hours.  At the Friday kick-off, teams are given a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre drawn at random to ensure that all the scripts are original.  Now in it’s 9th year, the festival takes place in 76 cities around the world.  Last year Pilotgroove Pictures’ debut film, RUSHED was produced as part of the New Hampshire festival. New Hampshire was a first-year city in 2009 and has already exceeded last year’s 26 entries. This year will be the 9th 48 Hour Film Project in New York, where 59 teams are set to participate.

Want to be in a movie or see how one is made?  We want your help. Pilotgroove Pictures is taking any and all volunteers to help with production in both cities. We’ll be looking for cast and extras, cameramen and production crew, and people to gently smack us when we start to fall asleep.  If you’re interested in helping out, send us an email.
